Main: Gluteals Supporting: Hamstrings, Abdominal muscles
One step at a time.
- Lie on your back with knees bent, feet flat and arms resting beside you.
- Gently brace your abdomen. Press through your feet and lift your hips without arching your lower back.
- Lower your hips to the mat slowly.
Hip extension involves the gluteal muscles, with the hamstrings assisting and abdominal muscles helping control the trunk.
